Poetry Books
Our history with small press publications including poetry books goes back to our very beginning. Since the early 1970's Inkwell Printers has assisted poets and writers' transforming their ideas and feelings to paper. That literary thread is woven into the fabric of what our business is today.
In the early 1980's we developed a relationship with the late Edna Meudt of Dodgeville and became involved in producing the "Uplands Readers". Our involvement with area poets grew and with the assistance of Betsy Strand we printed the 'Wisconsin Poets' Calendar-1987. We have produced the annual calendar for the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets each year since 1987 including the 2002 version. In fact, the editor of the 1992 Calendar was none other than Ellen Kort, Wisconsin Poet Laureate.
Over the years we have produced many small books for many poets throughout the state. It is a part of our business that we look forward to and truly enjoy.
Have you ever wanted to publish your own book and didn't know where to start. We understand that if you have ever reached this point, you may be overwhelmed. You may be filled with uncertainty or even insecurity. Over the years we have developed the skills to offer assistance in overcoming this normal obstacle and have helped many writers put their ideas in print.
At Inkwell Printers we will sit down with you and answer your questions. We will help you select format, ink, paper and style. We are willing to work with you one on one and spend the time necessary to guarantee a finished product that we are all proud of. Working directly with the people doing the actual production is an advantage you won't find at larger print facilities.
